The past two years have been an unbelievable stretch for Paul Skenes as he racks up accomplishment after accomplishment on his way to Super Stardom. His first season in the MLB saw Paul Skenes win the National League Rookie of the Year Award, he was a finalist for the Cy Young, made the All Star Game, and he was named to the All MLB First Team.
Prior to all the Awards in his Rookie Season, Paul Skenes was the 1st Overall Pick in the MLB Draft, won the National Championship with LSU, the National Pitcher of the Year Award, The Dick Hauser Trophy, and the College World Series Most Outstanding Player Award.
The latest honor in a stretch where it seems like Paul Skenes picks up Award after Award comes as he's been named one of the three stars that will grace the cover of MLB the Show 2025 along with Reds Shortstop Elly De La Cruz and Orioles Infielder Gunnar Henderson.

LSU gets a cool honor as well as the LSU logo will appear on the Cover which depicts Paul Skenes journey to becoming the Cover Star as he won a National Championship with the Tigers. Paul Skenes gracing the cover of MLB the Show will be another great recruiting tool for Jay Johnson as he continues to recruit at an insane level.
Paul Skenes wrapped up his Rookie season with an incredible 11-3 record in 23 starts with a 1.96 ERA striking out 170 batters across 133.0 innings pitched. If Skenes would've opened the season at the Major League level, he would've had a stronger case for the National League Cy Young Award
As of late, LSU isn't just developing players that become solid professionals, LSU is developing players that instantly reach the top level of their sport and become icons outside of sports which says a lot about how the athletics program is handling its athletes.
