If you watched the LSU Football team play this season, you marveled at the size and speed of Freshman Tight End Trey'Dez Green. The True Freshman was so talented playing behind Mason Taylor that Brian Kelly moved him to wide receiver because he was too skilled to keep off the field. The Texas Bowl was Green's showcase catching 6 passes for 53 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Before taking the football field, Trey'Dez Green was listed on the LSU Basketball roster but, it was unclear how much he'd be able to play as the schedules overlapped. After the end of the football season Green joined the Basketball team as they kicked off SEC play.
On Saturday Night, Matt McMahon finally deployed Green as he was ramping up to speed and when he checked into the game he became one of the rare two sport athletes in the SEC.

When Green got into the game it was clear that this wasn't just a situation where McMahon was playing him just to achieve the feat. Green started helping Corey Chest grabbing rebounds and playing physical defense.
Then Green made a play that should be replayed on ESPN's SportsCenter Top Ten blocking an Alabama's Chris Youngblood grabbing the rebound and taking it the length of the court before putting Chris Youngblood on a poster.

At Halftime, Trey'Dez Green played 6 minutes scoring 2 points, grabbing two rebounds, blocked a shot, and recorded a steal. After losing Jalen Reed for the season, the LSU Basketball team has been lacking size alongside Corey Chest. As Green continues to develop, it will only help this team if he's able to give this team solid minutes it'll only help LSU.
LSU has had a ton of great athletes on campus, but, if Green is able to play high level SEC Basketball while being the star he is on the gridiron he may join a short list of special LSU athletes.
