This offseason, Brian Kelly has seen a shakeup to the LSU Football team's coaching staff which is never ideal. The Tigers most notably lost Slade Nagle to Houston which left a void at Tight Ends Coach and Special Teams coordinator but, other than that Brian Kelly kept all of his positional coaches.
Where LSU did lose a ton is with their analysts as several schools hired away Brian Kelly's analysts with Bob Diaco heading to North Carolina, Eddie Hicks left for Cincinatti, Todd Fitch went to Charlotte, and Kanan Ray left for Tulane. All of the Tigers Coaches left for on field roles or for coordinator roles which shows their value to the program.
On Tuesday Night, LSU started to reload its crop of analysts making a massive splash hiring former Miami Defensive Coordinator Lance Guidry as an analyst.
LSU is currently expected to add former Miami defensive coordinator Lance Guidry as a member of its defensive staff, sources tell @cbssports/@247sports.

Guidry, a Louisiana native, was Miami’s DC the last two years.https://t.co/2SyNqcrp7A pic.twitter.com/Q1T4DC2bEI
Lance Guidry is a Welsh, LA Native who played College Football at McNeese State before becoming a Graduate Assistant in 1994. Guidry has served as a defensive coordinator for McNeese State, Western Kentucky, Southeastern Louisiana, Marshall, and Miami.
This season, Miami's defense struggled from the start of ACC Play through the end of the season allowing 31.9 points per game while losing three of the final four games.
As a player, Guidry was a defensive back and has coached defensive backs for several schools meaning he'll likely help Corey Raymond and Jake Olsen as the pair try to develop a crop of talented incoming Freshmen.
The biggest advantage LSU may get by hiring Lance Guidry is that they'll no longer need to recruit against him. Miami had been starting to make recruiting strides in the State of Louisiana with six Louisiana Natives on the 2024 Miami team while Guidry helped Miami flip four star cornerback Jaboree Antoine away from LSU.
