At the moment, LSU is doing everything right on the recruiting trail, and the Tigers are currently trending in the right direction for one of the most highly coveted prospects in the class of 2027.

Ahmad Hudson, a five-star tight end and two-sport athlete from Louisiana, recently shared that the LSU Tigers and head coach Brian Kelly were one of his top schools, especially since they're his home team.

"You know, being a kid from Louisiana, growing up, that's all I knew," Hudson said. "That played a big part in why they're one of my top schools... Every kid wants to go play for LSU."

Hudson also included the Oregon Ducks, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ole Miss Rebels, Florida Gators, Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas A&M Aggies, and Texas Longhorns.

The young tight end also plays basketball at an unbelievable level, making him a possible two-sport athlete at the collegiate level. During his sophomore season for Ruston High School, he averaged 21 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocks per game.

He was named the Louisiana District 2-5A MVP last year and even earned All-District honors during his freshman season. Simply put, the kid is a beast.

Hudson has six visits scheduled this fall, including making two trips to Baton Rouge, which is less than four hours away from his hometown.

  • Texas Longhorns - Sept. 20
  • Houston Cougars - Oct. 4
  • Nebraska Cornhuskers - Nov. 1

So far, Hudson has already taken four unofficial visits to the Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida Gators, and twice with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. When he visits the Tigers in September and November, LSU will be hosting the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (Sept. 6) and Arkansas Razorbacks (Nov. 15).
