One of the biggest priorities if not the biggest priority for the LSU Football team on the recruiting trail this recruiting cycle is keeping elite In-State recruit Lamar Brown in Louisiana. During the 2024 season, as Lamar Brown visited Texas A&M and Mike Elko visited his school, it started to look like Lamar Brown was going to end up committing to Texas A&M which would be a massive blow for LSU the cycle after losing Jahkeem Stewart.

Ever since the end of the season, the LSU Football program has put on the full court press for Lamar Brown switching from recruiting him as an offensive lineman to a defensive lineman which is where he'll make the biggest impact at the college level. The Tigers full court press has included Brian Kelly visiting Lamar Brown at University Lab and hosting Lamar Brown during the Boys in the Boot Junior Day.

An under the radar move that LSU made was bringing Antonio Parks onto the staff a move Brown himself has praised.

LSU's full court press has made an impact with Lamar Brown who has since told On3's Steve Wiltfong that the Tigers lead in his recruitment.

"LSU is a little bit ahead of [Texas] A&M at Number One."

The news is massive for the LSU Football program as getting Lamar Brown on board in this class would be massive and would go a long way in signing another Top Ten Recruiting Class. On3 ranks Lamar Brown as the 18th ranked player in the class, the 2nd ranked interior offensive lineman, and the 2nd ranked player out of Louisiana.

The Tigers already have one of the top defensive linemen in the Country and one of the top players out of Louisiana on board in Edna Karr's Richard Anderson. The Tigers can land one of the Nation's top defensive line classes just by keeping talent at home as Lamar Brown, Richard Anderson, Dylan Berymon, and Darryus McKinley are all top 300 recruits Nationally.
