All of the latest news around the LSU Football team's efforts to build out the 2026 recruiting class while building the 2027 recruiting board offering top recruits. The past two weeks have been filled with news of LSU offering elite 2026 and 2027 recruits scholarships while some of the Coaches including Brian Kelly have gone on the road as recruiting truly ramps up with transfer activity dying down.

The latest offer by LSU's Coaching staff comes as Edge Rushers Coach Kevin Peoples extended an offer to Edge Rush recruit Zavion Griffin-Haynes.

According to On3, Griffin-Haynes is the 178th ranked recruit in the class, the 17th ranked edge rusher in the class, and the 10th ranked player out of North Carolina. If LSU makes a big run at Griffin-Haynes, it'll be an interesting battle with the in-state schools as he decommitted from North Carolina State while North Carolina has Bill Belichick now which is an interesting wrinkle.

The LSU Tigers already have started strong on the defensive line in this recruiting class holding commitments from Elite recruits Richard Anderson from Edna Karr and JaReylan McCoy from Mississippi. Brian Kelly went on the road to visit in-state defensive tackle recruit Dylan Berymon while LSU will host five-star in-state recruit Lamar Brown as the Tigers look to load up on the defensive line.

The Tigers will have plenty of holes to fill as LSU will lose several key veteran pieces to the NFL following this season while you can always expect transfer losses. Edge Rushers Jack Pyburn, Patrick Payton, and Jimari Butler all come in via the transfer portal as Seniors meaning LSU will look to load up again next season. The Tigers have a strong pitch to make to any edge rush recruit they pursue as the playing time will be there for Freshmen.
