After the LSU Women's Basketball team saw their season come to an end on Sunday, Kim Mulkey had to get a start on reloading for the 2025-26 season. As LSU fell short of its ultimate goal, Kim Mulkey needed to improve the roster in order to compete for the SEC once again as well as to set the team up best for a deep run in March.

While LSU will lose its graduating Seniors, the first loss of the offseason came as LSU saw starting forward Sa'Myah Smith enter her name into the transfer portal. On Wednesday, LSU saw a second player enter the transfer portal with an even more surprising set of circumstances as guard Last-Tear Poa entered the transfer portal.

The move comes as a surprise as nearly everyone figured that she was done with College Basketball after taking part in LSU's Senior Day festivities. As the college sports landscape changes, so do the rules, and Last-Tear Poa will look to get one more season of College Basketball in as Diego Pavia's case has allowed players who went to JUCO to get those years back in eligibility.

This season, Last Tear-Poa averaged 2.0 points per game, 1.0 rebounds per game, and 1.9 assists per game. Last-Tear Poa never had a massive role in the offense but, she always brought an energy to the court impacting the game on the defensive end.

While Poa's contributions at LSU weren't massive, she'll always be remembered for her contributions to the National Championship. When Poa and some of her backup counterparts entered the game against Iowa, they scored right with Iowa's starters while Poa played solid defense against Caitlin Clark.

Kim Mulkey is going to attack the transfer portal with urgency upgrading the roster so Poa departing is a good move for both parties.
