This offseason has been truly exciting for the LSU Football Team as Brian Kelly and his staff have gone all in using the transfer portal left and right filling the holes in the 2025 roster. The cycle started off with a flood of transfer portal additions but, down the stretch as the list of needs got shorter the Tigers have taken a bit longer to fill the holes.

The latest addition for LSU comes as the Tigers land a commitment from Texas A&M transfer Tight End Donovan Green.

This news does not come as a surprise as LSU is currently hosting Green on a transfer visit.

Green comes to LSU with two years of eligibility remaining after spending three seasons in College Station. At 6'5 and 257 pounds Green is another massive target that LSU gets to add to its receiving core and a sizeable player LSU can lean on as a blocker.

Donovan Green was a top ten tight end recruit in the 2022 recruiting cycle before signing with Texas A&M. As a True Freshman, Green was named a Freshman All American but, he tore his ACL missing the entire 2023 season. This season, Green appeared in7 games but, did not record a catch as he built back into SEC shape.

The LSU Football team can serve as a fresh start for Donovan Green as he looks to get back to the form he showed early on in his career. LSU already has Trey'Dez Green and added transfer Bauer Sharp so the Tigers won't need to only lean on Donovan Green making this a great addition. If the move pans out for LSU they nabbed another dangerous pass catcher and a in-line blocker but, LSU also will play Bauer Sharp and Trey'Dez Green a ton next season.
