The final week of February is upon us and as the month comes to a close, the recruiting dead period nears its close as it expires during the first week of March. Prior to the recruiting dead period, LSU's staff went full steam ahead on the recruiting trail and when it reopens the Tigers will be back to making an all out push on the recruiting trail.
The Tigers currently hold the Nation's 4th Ranked recruiting class according to On3 which gives the Tigers the 2nd ranked recruiting class in the SEC. The quickest way to jump up the recruiting rankings is by landing five star recruits. The Tigers have two five stars in their backyard but, as they look to add star studded talent they'll get a chance to make an impression this Spring.
The Nation's Top Ranked Wide Receiver Tristen Keys will be taking a visit to Baton Rouge this Spring visiting LSU on March 18th.

According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Tristen Keys is the 5th ranked recruit in the Country, the top wide receiver in the class, and the top player out of Mississippi.
LSU has been making a strong push for Tristen Keys hosting him on visits for games and during the offseason but, as the summer approaches LSU will have to make a significant push. Keys has nearly every top school pushing for him giving LSU steep competition. Keys has all of the physical gifts of an elite wide receiver at 6 foot 2, 185 pounds and could be a player that makes an instant impact for LSU.
Thus far in this recruiting class, LSU has done an incredible job recruiting Wide Receivers coming off of a shaky recruiting cycle at the position. In the class already are Kenny Darby and Jakai Anderson, two In-State Wide Receivers who are garnering National buzz this offseason as schools get a better look at them. Filling out the rest of the class will be interesting as LSU is firmly in the running for Boobie Feaster, Jabari Mack, and Tristen Keys.
