The LSU Basketball team is red hot on the recruiting trail as the second week of the college basketball transfer portal is well underway. On Monday LSU sent a strong message landing an experienced SEC starter in Michael Nwoko at center and a Top-10 transfer in UNLV Point Guard Dedan Thomas Jr. The duo instantly improve the talent on LSU's roster as both bring a ton of experience and talent to an LSU roster that needed an overhaul after a 3-15 season in SEC play.
After landing a player of Dedan Thomas Jr's caliber, the Tigers needed to start surrounding him with other talented scorers so LSU could reap the full benefit of his ability to create for others.

In his Junior season at Northeastern this year, Rashad King averaged 18,5 Points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, and shot 44.9% from the field. This season marked back to back seasons that King shot 44.9% from the field as he's become a consistent scorer.
While King will be a relative unknown for LSU fans, he checks a ton of boxes for what LSU needed this transfer cycle. At 6 foot 6, King brings legitimate size on the wing which is becoming a requirement with the caliber of players in the SEC. King has tons of experience leading an offense and as a 31.9% shooter from three he'll be a welcomed addition for LSU. While King played at a lower level, he's an SEC caliber athlete and an impressive addition for Matt McMahon and his staff as the offseason is off to a hot start.
