Lane Kiffin is hitting the ground running since taking over at LSU. While he has built a reputation for himself as the king of the transfer portal, he knows how important winning on the recruiting trails are out of high school. He left Ole Miss for LSU because he believed things could be easier for him in that regard in Baton Rouge. Louisiana has a ton of great players in-state, but you must recruit the region...
Look at who four-star Georgia offensive tackle commit Kelsey Adams is visiting right after the Dawgs.

Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals shared out that Adams will be visiting LSU a week after he goes to UGA. Adams plans to make three other visits this summer with trips to Miami, North Carolina, and Ohio State coming after those two SEC schools. The Langston Hughes standout committed in-state to Georgia back in late September of last year. There could be a shot for Kiffin to potentially flip Adams.
Let's unpack the significance of when and where Adams is taking his five official visits to this summer.
Lane Kiffin could potentially flip 4-star OT Kelsey Adams away from UGA
According to the 247Sports Composite, Adams is the No. 11 player from Georgia, the No. 11 offensive tackle in the country, and the No. 112 player nationally. He has 30 official offers, including one from Georgia, as well as the four other schools he plans to take visits to later on this summer. Georgia being first makes sense, but it also leaves open the possibility that Kiffin could get him to flip.
Follow along with this... Adams may be dead-set on staying in-state and playing for Georgia, but he may want to make sure none of the other four candidates to flip him are the right place for him. If he remains adamant about staying at Georgia, he can always cancel any of his other visits and just stay put. This would include LSU as well. However, there is a chance that it could make leaving UGA easier.
Should Adams prefer to play at either LSU, Miami, North Carolina, or Ohio State, he could just as easily de-commit from Georgia and vow to play for one of these other programs at a snap of a finger. LSU being right behind Georgia is significant, as it feels most likely he will keep that visit following Georgia among the other ones, simply because it is next up. Of course, this could work against LSU...
By potentially going to LSU, Miami, North Carolina, and Ohio State after visiting with Georgia, Adams could in turn be trying to flip players committed to those schools, or at least see if guys who are on the fence could join him at UGA. Either way, it looks as though Adams will either play for Kirby Smart at Georgia or Kiffin at LSU if he wishes to play in the SEC. Adams has been committed for six months.
Right now, if anybody is going to get Adams to flip out-of-state in the SEC, it would have to be Kiffin.
