The Award is given to the best blocker in the Conference and started to be given out by the SEC in 1935. LSU's won the Award 7 times, Bill May won in 1936, Red Brodnax won in 1958, Robert Dugas won in 1978, Alan Faneca won in 1997, Ciron Black won in 2009, La'el Collins won in 2014, and now Will Campbell won in 2024.
Will Campbell won the award along with Texas' Left Tackle Kelvin Banks Jr as the two will now battle it out to be the first offensive tackle drafted in this years draft.
Campbell has been incredible during his time at LSU and leaves as one of the most decorated offensive linemen. Campbell was an All-SEC selection every year he's been at LSU making the Second Team as a Freshman and the first team the last two seasons.
The Tigers offensive line helped LSU average 315 yards passing per game and 116 yards rushing per game as the unit allowed 15 sacks over 12 games which was the lowest in the SEC.
LSU won't have Will Campbell available for the Texas Bowl as he prepares for the NFL Draft but, he'll be there to support the team as they play the game.

The Tigers have several younger players that will push to earn Campbell's position at Left Tackle next season but, he'll be nearly impossible to replace.
