Over the past few years, LSU has truly started to cement itself as Wide Receiver U as the Tigers receivers in the NFL continue to dominate while LSU is constantly sending elite playmakers off to the NFL. As Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson battle for the title of the Best WR in the NFL while Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr made instant impacts it has become clear that LSU is developing receivers better than any other program.

For LSU, the dominance of the Tigers receivers in College and the way they're instantly becoming stars in the NFL is the best recruiting tool you could ask for. In the 2026 recruiting cycle, the Tigers have used it to their advantage landing the best wide receiver haul in the Country. As the Tigers look to sign their 3 commits, the Tigers hosted each of them on a visit this weekend.

The Tigers wide receiver class is absolutely loaded and could add more pieces but, keeping Tristen Keys, Jabari Mack, and Kenny Darby on board is the top priority. Tristen Keys is the Crown Jewel of LSU's recruiting class as a Top 5 recruit and the top Wide Receiver in the class. Keys will have plenty of programs pushing him to flip his commitment but, LSU will get the final official visit which is a massive advantage.

LSU's biggest success stories at Wide Receiver have been by Louisiana Natives who become stars for the Tigers. In Jabari Mack and Kenny Darby, LSU is getting the two best receivers in the State with the ability to instantly translate to the next level. As a whole, LSU's trio of wide receivers all rank inside the Top 10 at the position allowing WRU to reload once again.

While LSU's main focus is on retaining its talent in the 2026 recruiting class, Cortez Hankton is already started on building relationships with some of the 2027 class. This weekend, LSU hosted elite 2027 wide receiver Monshun Sales on his second unofficial visit to Baton Rouge.

According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Sales is the 18th best player in the class, the 3rd ranked wide receiver, and the top player out of Indiana which puts him in position to end his cycle as a 5-star recruit. Building relationships early is crucial in every recruitment and the Tigers continuing to push for Sales early on will only help the Tigers when he makes his decision.

The LSU Football program and Cortez Hankton are recruiting at an elite level right now and as long as it continues, LSU's track record with Wide Receivers will only continue to grow.
