The Early Signing Period is here and while a player may be committed to your school, things can change in an instant. This day is chaos as schools try to finish off their recruiting class on a high note while players have to make their final decision on a school.

The LSU Football team lost its first commitment of the day as tight end Mike Tyler flipped his commitment to South Carolina.

It was always going to be tough for Slade Nagle and LSU to hold onto Mike Tyler given how close he is to South Carolina's campus. This flip doesn't come as a shock as Tyler has been long expected to flip back to South Carolina but, he waited until signing day to do so.

Losing a tight end in this recruiting class certainly hurts LSU as the Tigers lost Mac Markway to the Transfer Portal right before the season, they'll likely lose Mason Taylor to the NFL Draft, and the Tigers could lose a tight end in the transfer portal. The Tigers did sign four-star tight end JD LaFleur the son of LSU All American tight end David LaFleuer.

The Tigers have already started their search for transfer tight ends offering one tight end last week while more offers will likely come when everyone can enter the transfer portal on December 9th. The positive spin for the Tigers is that nearly every recruit that has flipped has done so to their hometown school which is one factor they couldn't control.
