LSU loses tight end Ka'Morreun Pimpton to the Transfer Portal
The transfer portal is in full swing and LSU has both lost players and has been linked to several players. One of the positions that LSU was going to need to target was tight end as Mason Taylor declared for the NFL Draft. The tight end position has only grown as a need on Tuesday for the Tigers.
The biggest loss for LSU thus far comes on Tuesday as LSU loses tight end Ka’Morreun Pimpton to the transfer portal.
Given that LSU is already losing Mason Taylor to the NFL Draft and lost Mac Markway prior to the season this is a massive blow to LSU’s Tight End room.
The Tigers were already going to need a tight end in the transfer portal but, it now becomes a much bigger need. The Tigers will get Arkansas Tight End Luke Hasz on campus this week and he’ll now become a much bigger priority early on in the transfer portal.
This season Pimpton didn't have much of a role as he caught just six passes for 79 yards. This summer, Pimpton had a solid camp and was going to have a massive role on the team in 2025.
Now LSU will have Trey'Dez Green penciled in as the starting tight end for the 2025 season but, the Tigers have some work to do in the transfer portal. The Tigers signed just one High School Tight End but, they've been linked to several tight ends in the portal and LSU becomes a very attractive option with Pimpton out of the picture.
There is still a chance that Pimpton can return to LSU after testing the waters but, its a less than ideal situation for LSU.
