The transfer portal is in full swing as players all across college basketball are entering the transfer portal to find their new homes. Heading into what is a pivotal offseason, LSU was going to see a ton of roster turnover after a season where the LSU Tigers went 3-15 in SEC. Matt McMahon will be back and he'll have the packing of LSU as the school will further invest into the program with NIL resources to help McMahon build a team that can compete in the SEC.
Early on in the transfer cycle, LSU lost Corey Chest, Mike Williams, and Tyrell Ward to the transfer portal but, none were massive losses. On Friday, LSU suffered its biggest transfer loss yet, as Freshman Guard Vyctorius Miller entered the transfer portal.

Losing Vyctorius Miller to the transfer portal is a devastating loss as the Tigers lose one of their promising building blocks to the transfer portal. This season for LSU, Miller averaged 8.9 points per game, 2.4 rebounds per game, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 44.7% from the field.
Early on in the season, Vyctorius Miller was one of LSU's best scorers helping lead the Tigers to an 11-3 Non-Conference record. When Miller was thrust into SEC play he showed clear struggles adjusting but, as the season progressed he started to show that early season promise once again.
Heading into the offseason, no one player felt irreplaceable but, Vyctorius Miller was at the top or near the top of the list when it came to pieces you'd love to have back. As Miller leaves, LSU will need to replace four of its five leading scorers with only Jalen Reed returning after his torn ACL. Matt McMahon now has another massive need to fill but, its hard to overcome losing a young piece like Miller.
