Kim Mulkey is set to begin her fifth season behind the bench in Baton Rouge leading the LSU women's basketball program. Mulkey has led the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament in all four seasons, culminating in the program's first-ever National Championship in 2023.

LSU won its two exhibition games in convincing fashion, beating Mississippi College 148-46 and Langston 121-41.
