As every day passes, the anticipation for the upcoming College Baseball season only continues to build for LSU Baseball fans. The Tigers are heavily expected to be one of the best teams in the Country coming in as one of the Top Five teams in nearly every Pre-Season Poll thus far.

Part of the reason for all the hype around the LSU Baseball team is the massive offseason Jay Johnson had landing the top transfer class and the top Freshman class in the Country. The other part of the equation is the expected improvement from several of LSU's younger pieces that saw a ton of playing time in 2024.

One of those players is Sophomore Pitcher Kade Anderson who pitched 38.1 innings for LSU in 2024 with a 3.99 ERA and 59 strikouts. When asked about being eligible for the MLB Draft after this season, Kade Anderson said he hadn't even thought about the draft and then delivered a line that will hit home with every LSU fan.

"I wanna be here ten years if I could"

In 2023, Kade Anderson split time between the starting rotation and the bullpen starting nine times for the Tigers. This season, Anderson will look to be a full time starter as Jay Johnson named him one of the eight pitchers that will be stretched out with the chance to earn a job in the rotation this Spring.

Following media day, the LSU Baseball team will play one of its three intrasquad scrimmages this weekend as the Tigers will take the field at 2:00 PM Central Time with the gates opening 15 minutes before then for any fans who want to attend.
