The LSU Tigers got good injury news when the status of starting center Braelin Moore was officially upgraded to probable on Friday. He is officially good to go, and his return figures to give a big boost to an LSU offensive line that struggled in his absence against Louisiana Tech.

But not all of LSU's injury news is good. Tight end Trey'Dez Green is officially listed as OUT. The move isn't all that surprising, although Tiger fans held out hope after Brian Kelly said on Friday that Green would be a game-time decision. He was officially listed as questionable on Friday. The star tight end suffered a sprained MCL against Louisiana Tech, and unfortunately, won't be able to suit up against the Gators.

What does Green's absence mean for the LSU offense?

LSU will now be without a key red zone threat with Green sidelined. The sophomore tight end brings a massive 6-foot-7 frame to LSU's passing attack, and his elite athleticism makes him a prime red zone target for Garrett Nussmeier.

Green's playmaking ability was on full display in Week 1, as he hauled in the game-winning touchdown pass from Nussmier to lead LSU to a 17-10 win over Clemson. With the game tied 10-10 in the fourth quarter, Nussmeier threw an eight-yard jump ball to Green in the left side of the end zone. Green was able to come down with it over Clemson CB Avieon Terrell. It's been LSU's biggest play of the season up to this point.

The Tigers still have plenty of receiving weapons, but none with Green's combination of size and athleticism. With Green out, Oklahoma transfer tight end Bauer Sharp could be more involved in the passing game. Sharp is 6-foot-5, 245-pounds, and has six catches for 26 yards so far this season. WR Aaron Anderson is LSU's leading receiver so far this season, as he has 14 catches for 172 yards.
