After Kade Anderson's complete game shutout on Thursday Night, the LSU Baseball team carried a ton of momentum into Friday Night, looking to secure a series win over Top Ten Oklahoma. Anthony Eyanson took the mound for the Tigers with a fully loaded bullpen behind him but, the Tigers truly only needed two pitchers on Friday Night.
The Tigers set the tone for this game in the second inning as the LSU Baseball team put four runs on the board. Chris Stanfield put the Tigers up 2-0 in the second with a 2 RBI double to left field, driving home Josh Pearson and Steven Milam. Derek Curiel then brought Chris Stanfield home with a double of his own to right field. Jared Jones would continue his incredible season with yet another RBI base hit bringing home Derek Curiel.

While LSU put Oklahoma down early, the Sooners struck back in the bottom of the third inning, as an error and a passed ball allowed Oklahoma to score its first run of the game on an RBI single. The Sooners would cut LSU's lead to two with an RBI Double.
The fourth and the fifth inning saw the pitchers take control as Anthony Eyanson and Cade Crossland both posted back to back scoreless innings.
Josh Pearson crushed a solo home run off of Cade Crossland in the top of the 6th inning ending Cade Crossland's day. In the 7th inning, LSU scored another run as the Tigers strung singles together before Jared Jones scored on a fielders choice.

In the top of the 9th inning, LSU made sure to put this game out of reach making a 6-2 lead a 10-2 lead. Daniel Dickinson started the inning off with a leadoff solo home run before LSU quickly made two outs. John Pearson then blasted his second home run of the game before Chris Stanfield drove in another two runs with a 2 RBI Double.

After an incredible start by Kade Anderson, the LSU Baseball team got another dominant showing from its pitching staff. Anthony Eyanson gave the Tigers 5.2 innings pitched, allowing 2 runs none of which were earned allowing 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 8 Sooners. From there, Casan Evans took over and dominated closing the game out allowing just 2 hits while striking out 5.
LSU's offense snapped right back into form after a two-run game by scoring 10 runs on 15 hits while drawing five walks. Chris Stanfield had an incredible game batting 9th going 4-5 with 4 RBIs and a pair of doubles. Josh Pearson had a dominant showing with a 2-4 day with 2 Home Runs, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored.
The LSU Tigers will now look to close out the series with a sweep on Saturday Afternoon at 2:00 PM Central Time. Chase Shores will start the game for the Tigers and Jay Johnson will have the entire bullpen available aside from Casan Evans which gives LSU a loaded staff to roll with.
