The transfer portal continues to be busy with action as the Lane Kiffin era begins at LSU. Kiffin has already flipped several recruits and signed multiple 5-stars to LSU's 2026 recruiting class, but several Tigers have decided to hit the transfer portal and look for other opportunities.
Plenty of fireworks could be in store for Lane Kiffin's return to Ole Miss as LSU's head coach
According to On3, junior running back Kaleb Jackson plans to enter the transfer portal. Jackson totaled 331 rushing yards and 132 receiving yards to go along with 4 total touchdowns over the course of 3 seasons in Baton Rouge. He preserved his redshirt by playing in just four games this season, and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Kaleb Jackson's departure leaves the LSU running back room starving for depth
Jackson's best season at LSU came back in 2023 during his freshman campaign when he ran for 165 yards and four touchdowns on 31 carries. Unfortunately, he was never able to move up in the depth chart and his role was diminished over the following two seasons.
Caden Durham and Harlem Berry saw the bulk of the action this past regular season, with Ju'Juan Johnson also carving out a role in the Tiger backfield. Durham leads LSU in carries (106) and rushing yards (505) this season, but Berry came on strong down the stretch. The true freshman tailback has totaled 446 yards on 101 carries thus far.
Jackson leaving LSU leaves the Tiger running back room with just two scholarship players at this time: Caden Durham and Harlem Berry. LSU hasn't signed any running backs in its 2026 recruiting class, so Lane Kiffin could look to the transfer portal in order to bring in some RB depth. Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy is a name to keep an eye on, as his familiarity with Kiffin could see him follow his former head coach to Baton Rouge.
