This weekend, LSU is on the bye meaning most of the coaches are on the road recruiting current commits and a few outstanding targets. The lack of a home game this weekend means LSU won't be able to host recruits but, they will be able to next weekend for the Alabama game.

The whirlwind on the recruiting trail as of late has been Michigan's attempt to flip Bryce Underwood from LSU. The Tigers have dealt with flip attempts this entire cycle, losing Jaboree Antoine and Dakorien Moore while other schools have come calling for some of LSU's other schools.

The latest concern is that the Tigers will lose their top wide receiver recruit Derek Meadows. On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings rank Meadows as the 80th ranked player in the class and the 11th ranked wide receiver.

Today, Derek Meadows will be in Ann Arbor as the Michigan Wolverines host the Nation's top team the Oregon Ducks. Michigan was one of four finalists when Meadows committed to LSU but, were seen as the team that finished fourth of the four finalists. Considering Meadows is visiting Michigan before he's visited LSU this season is a concern while the push Michigan is making for Bryce Underwood could also be a factor.

Next Weekend, Derek Meadows won't be heading to Baton Rouge for LSU's game against Alabama which were two of his four finalists. Instead, he'll be in South Bend as Notre Dame hosts Florida State as Notre Dame was his other finalist. Before LSU landed Meadows he was heavily favored to head to Notre Dame but, since that point, Notre Dame lost its quarterback commit Deuce Knight.

The Tigers need to get Derek Meadows on campus

With Derek Meadows heading to South Bend the same day as LSU's game against Alabama, there are only two games left that LSU can get Meadows to campus. The issue is, the Tigers had two massive home games on the schedule and the Tigers won't be able to get him on campus for either. The Tigers need to hang onto Meadows as they have just three receivers left in this class while they will need to push for atleast one more receiver.
