This offseason, the LSU Football team took the roster from a pretty good group to a National Championship Contender using the transfer portal. Concerns about the Wide Receivers, Tight Ends, Offensive Line, Pass Rush, and Secondary all quickly disappeared as LSU filled need after need with instant impact players.

The Tigers bolstered their roster significantly at the Wide Receiver position adding Nic Anderson and Barion Brown. Anderson brings much needed size on the outside while Barion Brown brings speed and versatility that will help everyone else in getting open underneath.

The Tigers offseason acquisitions are already garnering high praise in ESPN's 2025 College Football Way Too Early All American Teams.

At Wide Receiver, Nic Anderson was predicted as one of the Second Team All American Wide Receivers along with Arizona State's Jordan Tyson as Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Wiliiams take home the first team honors. Anderson has limited experience as he missed the entire 2024 season but, in 2023 he caught 38 passes for 798 yards and ten touchdowns.

If Anderson can stay healthy while returning to his 2023 form, he'll have a chance to be the team's leading receiver and one of the top receivers in the Country. Anderson's 6 foot 4 frame on the outside will make him a monster for LSU in the redzone which is where the Tigers struggled the most in 2024.

At returner, Kentucky transfer Barion Brown was named the Way Too Early First Team All American Returner. Brown comes to LSU with five career return touchdowns while averaging 30.3 yards per return in his career. In addition to the impact he'll have in the Wide Receiver room, LSU has one of the Nation's best returners. Whether LSU deploys Barion Brown as a Wide Receiver, a returner, or on packages where he runs the ball he'll be a nightmare for the opponent any time he touches the football.

The Tigers Kick and Punt Returner may be the biggest position battle on the entire team as Zavion Thomas, Aaron Anderson, and Barion Brown are all among the best in the Country.
