The No. 20 LSU Tigers are set to host the No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday night in Death Valley. Not only is it a massive game for Brian Kelly's team as they look to avoid a 3rd loss on the season, but it's shaping up to be another big weekend on the recruiting trail. Several high-profile prospects are scheduled to be in Baton Rouge this weekend, including a 5-star safety who LSU is trying to flip from another SEC school.

According to 247Sports, Bralan Womack is the No. 13 overall player and No. 1 safety in the 2026 class. He has already committed to Auburn, but LSU remains steadfast in an effort to flip him, and will host the 5-star recruit this weekend for the Texas A&M game.

LSU pushing to flip 5-star Auburn commit

Womack committed to Hugh Freeze and Auburn earlier this summer on August 21. However, he hasn't been impressed with Auburn's play in recent weeks, as the Tigers have dropped four consecutive SEC games. Could that lead him to re-consider his decision? LSU is hoping so.

"The honest truth in how I'm feeling right now, the defense has got to stop leaving the game up to the offense," Womack told Auburn Undercover. "At this point, the defense — in the college world we live in now — you've got to score 20 or more points to compete. And we've done that zero times in SEC play. It doesn't look like it's going to change. Nothing's changing. Defense, we had some times we could've gotten off the field."

As disappointed as he is, Womack remains committed to Auburn. "It doesn't affect my commitment at all," he said. But Hugh Freeze is on the hottest of seats at Auburn, and a potential coaching change could impact Womack's decision-making process.

Hailing from Hatfield Academy in Flowood, MS, Womack is a 5' 11.5" 195-pound safety who has a great mix of size, athleticism, and football IQ. He is described by 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins as an "advanced safety prospect" who could "fit into a variety of different schemes and be utilized in a variety of different ways – high, low, inside or outside." Ivins added that Womack "figures to emerge as a trusted defender for a College Football Playoff regular that can make plays and clean up mistakes."

In addition to excelling at safety, the highly-touted recruit is a skilled receiver. He totaled 39 tackles and eight interceptions on defense while hauling in 54 passes for 1,045 yards and 13 TDs as a wide receiver. He also scored kick return and punt return touchdowns in his junior season. For his efforts, Womack earned Gatorade Mississippi Player of the Year honors in his junior season and put together a strong week of practices at the Navy All-American Bowl.
