The LSU Football team is preparing for the final recruiting stretch for a month as the Tigers host recruits on campus for "Junior Day" ahead of the recruiting dead period that starts on February 3rd and ends in March. The Junior Day event is one of the most important of the year as for the most part LSU is truly pushing for every recruit in attendance compared to a game weekend where there are hundreds of recruits on Campus.
The Tigers will be hosting all six of their commitments in the 2026 recruiting class as well as 2026 and 2027 targets. One of the newest names on the list of attendees for Saturday's event is Mississippi Running back Ty Keys from the 2027 recruiting cycle.

According to On3, Ty Keys is the 28th ranked player in the 2027 Class, the 5th ranked running back, and the 2nd best player out of Mississippi. The news that Keys will be on campus for LSU's Junior Day comes as a bit of a surprise as he was expected to attend Mississippi State's Junior Day. Ty Keys doesn't have an offer from LSU yet but, given the fact he's coming to Baton Rouge for Junior Day means one could be on the horizon.
Ty Keys already has already picked up offers from Mississippi State, Oregon, Penn State, Nebraska, and Ole Miss among several others.
The LSU Football team just signed two elite running backs in Harlem Berry and JT Lindsey in the 2025 recruiting cycle while Caden Durham will be in Baton Rouge for at least two more seasons. The depth in the running backs room may deter some recruits from jumping on board which could make 2027 the next cycle that LSU truly pushes for elite talents like Ty Keys at running back.
