The 64 team field for the NCAA Tournament is set as the NCAA Tournament committee unveiled it's official bracket as team's from across the Country will face off with the hopes of winning the Championship in Oklahoma. The LSU Softball team was unveiled as the 10th overall seed which marks back to back seasons that LSU earned the 10th overall seed.
Earning the 10th overall seed means that the LSU Softball team will host a Regional with Nebraska, UConn, and Southeastern Louisiana all making their way to Baton Rouge.
LSU's path back to Super Regional's in the NCAA Tournament
The 2nd seed in LSU's region is Nebraska, followed by UConn who is the 3rd seed, and LSU's initial matchup will be against the 4th seeded Southeastern Louisiana Lions.

The LSU Softball team enters the NCAA Tournament with a 41-14 overall record suffering most of their losses in conference play. The Nebraska Cornhuskers enter the Tournament at 39-13 on the season and were a Top 25 team for a long stretch this season. The UConn Huskies have the most momentum fresh off of winning the Big East Tournament with a 35-17 record on the year. The Lady Lions went 48-14 this season winning the Southland Conference Championship.
LSU's opening matchup comes against the Southeastern Lions which is an In-State opponent for the Tigers and a matchup we've seen this season. LSU won the initial matchup but, Southeastern did jump out to a 2-0 lead until the 6th inning when LSU plated 2 runs and another in the 7th to take home the win.
The NCAA Tournament is double elimination during Regionals meaning LSU is in the hunt as long as they don't suffer two losses.

- Friday May 16th Vs Southeastern Louisiana at 4:30 PM CT
- Saturday: May 17th Vs Nebraska or UConn
