The LSU Tigers traveled to Oxford on Saturday taking on the 23rd ranked Ole Miss Rebels seeking LSU's first SEC win of the season. After a battle in the first half, LSU suffered an awful sefind half costing LSU the game.

LSU started off slowly putting itself in a 7-0 hole but, the Tigers then exploded going on a 15-0 run forcing Ole Miss to turn the ball over resulting in easy buckets for the Tigers. The issue for the Tigers was that Ole Miss found their rhythm from three in the second half of the first half making this a back and forth first half with Ole Miss taking a 28-26 lead into halftime.

The first half was sloppy by both teams as LSU turned it over 10 times while Ole Miss had 9 turnovers. The Achillies heel for LSU in the half was a struggle from three as the Tigers made just 3 of 18 three-point attempts.

The second half was a disaster as the wheels fell off the wagon for LSU. The defense that kept LSU in the game in the first half allowed 49 second half points. The Tigers turned it over 17 times leading to Ole Miss scoring 23 points.

This team cannot find its rhythm from three point range shooting 7 for 31 tonight while the team was 17-28 from inside the arc.

Turnover will define this season

The LSU Basketball team is at a talent disadvantage in almost every game they play. That’s especially an issue when the Tigers continue to give away games due to sloppy play. If LSU can’t get its turnovers in check they’re going to have a tough time winning any games in the SEC.
