The LSU Tigers have went out and filled nearly every hole on the roster snatching up nearly any transfer they've wanted. The position of need that stands out right now is at defensive back as LSU is set to replace Sage Ryan, Major Burns, and Zy Alexander this offseason. The Tigers already landed transfers Ja'Keem Jackson and Mansoor Delane at cornerback but, the Tigers need safety help.

Brian Kelly and his staff played the younger group of defensive backs during the Texas Bowl but, as LSU got gashed play after play the position only grew in need.

LSU will host Auburn transfer Keionte Scott on a visit in the days to come as the search continues for LSU.

While at Auburn, Scott played cornerback so the Tigers will either keep Scott at cornerback, move Scott to safety, or move one of the other transfer cornerbacks to safety.

Where Scott will most likely play in the NFL is at Nickel, which makes him a solid fit at the Star position replacing Major Burns or playing slot cornerback for the Tigers. Before deciding to return to College Football, Scott was being drafted as early as the third round in mock drafts.

In his career at Auburn, Scott played in 33 games starting 23 games racking up 115 tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, a sack, 10 pass defenses, and an interception. Adding Scott would add yet, another impressive returner to LSU's loaded kick and punt return group for 2025 as he led the SEC with a 14.8 yards per punt return average in 2023.

The hope for the Tigers is that Scott makes it to campus as he's already taken a few visits and has a few lined up before getting to LSU.
