The recruiting cycle has ramped back up again as the month long recruiting dead period came to a close this week. The Tigers have been rolling in positive recruiting news the past two months as LSU looks to pick up steam heading into the Summer where most recruits will commit. LSU kicks off practice this weekend and from there Baton Rouge will be packed every weekend as top recruits visit campus.

This Summer, LSU will get one of the top safeties in the 2026 recruiting class on campus as safety Donovan Webb will visit LSU from June 13th through June 15th.

Rivals ranks Donovan Webb as the 129th ranked player in the class, the 10th ranked safety, and the 17th ranked player out of Texas. LSU has steep competition in the recruitment of Webb as three In-State schools will get official visits along with Ohio State, Michigan, and Oklahoma.

The past few off-season's have shown LSU the importance of recruiting and developing SEC Caliber safeties as the Tigers have struggled to find those pieces in the transfer portal. This recruiting cycle will be massive for LSU when it comes to recruiting safeties. The Tigers already have a safety on board in Edna Karr commit Aiden Hall who's a top five safety in the class.

LSU is still big game hunting at the position as they'll look to keep another elite safety at home in Blaine Bradford. Last recruiting cycle LSU signed Jacob Bradford who joins LSU's secondary but, Blaine is an elite recruit ranked as the 2nd best safety in the class and a top 50 recruit nationally.

The Tigers have long needed an infusion of talent into the safety room which makes it possible that LSU signs three or more players at the position in this recruiting cycle.
