This weekend, the LSU Football team will be hosting its Junior Day which is one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the year. This weekend is much different than a Home Game where LSU gives out hundreds of tickets when they won't truly push for the majority of the recruits. The recruits on campus for Junior Day are the ones that LSU will truly want to add to their 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes.

Among the players who will be in town for the Tigers Junior Day is In-State Quarterback Peyton Houston who's emerging as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class.

This season, Peyton Houston put the Country on notice passing for 4,480 yards which was the best in the State, and a class 5A Passing record while in one game he passed for 817 yards.

Houston is becoming one of the most sought after recruits coming off of a visit to Texas with a visit to Georgia on the horizon. Rivals is the lone recruiting service to rank Houston thus far but, he's the 13th ranked recruit in the Country in their latest rankings.

While the Tigers had Bryce Underwood on board, most of the 2026 quarterbacks considered LSU but, committed elsewhere as there wasn't a clear path to playing time. LSU can still flip a quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class but, it appears that the staff is more focused on the loaded 2027 recruiting class when it comes to Quarterbacks.

Louisiana has three star quarterbacks in the 2027 Class with Peyton Houston, Top-100 Quarterback Malachi Ziegler, and the Nation's top recruit Elijah Haven. Out of State LSU has solid options in Colton Nussmeier Garrett's younger brother, Trent Seaborn from Alabama, and Illinois' Trae Taylor while Joe Sloan may still extend an offer or two elsewhere.
