Over the Weekend, the LSU Football Program hosted a star studded cast of recruits during its Boys in the Boot Junior Day recruiting event. The event brought the best players in Louisiana to Baton Rouge as the Tigers look to lock in some of the best players in Louisiana as the next few recruiting classes are loaded with talent.

The most talented player out of Louisiana currently is interior offensive lineman or defensive lineman Lamar Brown. According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Lamar Brown is the 11th ranked recruit in the Country, the top interior offensive lineman, and the top player in Louisiana.

This weekend, Lamar Brown told Rivals' Sam Spiegelman that his recruitment is coming down to LSU Vs Texas A&M and that the Tigers closed the game on Texas A&M.

"They're the only ones really standing out recruiting me."
Lamar Brown

Keeping Lamar Brown In-State would be a massive deal for the LSU Football team especially on the heels of losing JaReylan McCoy. Lamar Brown is incredibly talented both on the offensive line and on the defensive line and could step in and play either position at the college level.

The 2025 recruiting cycle saw an elite defensive line recruit leave the State when Jahkeem Stewart signed with the USC Trojans. Ideally, you'd love to keep Brown In-State the year after losing Stewart as at some point you need to pay up for the high end recruit in your State.

Texas A&M will be the school that pushes LSU the most until National Signing Day and it's best Stewart doesn't land at an SEC Rival. Mike Elko and his staff have done a great job building a solid relationship with Brown but, if the Tigers can continue to get Lamar Brown on campus it'll only help the Tigers.
