The LSU Football team enters the 2025 College Football season with College Football Playoff hopes in the second season of the expanded playoff format. The Clemson Tigers enter the year with even bigger expectations as they're coming off of an ACC Championship and a College Football Playoff appearance returning the vast majority of their roster.

Given how highly the two will be ranked and the expectations both teams and fanbases have coming into the season, the fact that the two programs will faceoff in a rematch of the 2020 National Championship Game is truly remarkable. The matchup will be one of the biggest of the season and one of the best in a loaded Week 1 schedule which raised questions over whether or not it would be the night game on ESPN.

LSU Vs Clemson will be played under the lights as it should be

When LSU and Clemson take the field at Memorial Stadium (Also known as fake Death Valley) the game will be played under the bright lights which is only fitting for a matchup of this magnitude.

The game will kickoff at 7:30 PM Eastern Time or 6:30 PM Central Time and it will be broadcast on ABC. Given that Texas Vs Ohio State will be played on Fox's Big Noon Kickoff, the two Tigers will faceoff as the biggest game in their time slot.

The LSU Football team will be looking to start their season off on the right note as the Tigers have lost five straight season openers dating back to the 2020 season, 3 of which have come under Brian Kelly. LSU has gone all out building a College Football Playoff worthy roster and yet, another season opening loss would send the fanbase into a frenzy and turn up the heat on Brian Kelly.
