The 2025 Magnolia Bowl between the No. 4 LSU Tigers and No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels is almost here. Both teams enter with 4-0 records and are looking to stay undefeated on the season. The last few meetings in this historic rivalry have produced some wild games, including last year's 29-26 overtime victory for LSU despite the Tigers never holding a lead for a single second in the game.

As the anticipation builds for kick-off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday afternoon, here are the latest LSU vs Ole Miss betting odds to go along with a game preview and score prediction.

LSU vs Ole Miss prediction

The key matchup that everyone is talking about for this matchup is LSU's revamped defense against Ole Miss' high-scoring offense. The LSU defense is by far and away the toughest unit that Ole Miss will have faced so far this season. At the same time, the Ole Miss offense is the best offense that LSU will have faced so far in 2025. LSU's two key wins at Clemson and vs Florida don't look as strong now, as both of those teams have spiraled in recent weeks. The Ole Miss offense has been rolling no matter who is at QB, so will the LSU offense have enough in the tank to keep up?

Now is the time for the LSU running game to come alive. Even potentially without Caden Durham, LSU's rushing attack needs to add some balance to Joe Sloan's offensive attack. In this game last year in Baton Rouge, Garrett Nussmeier was asked to throw 51 times, completing just 22 of those attempts for a season-low completion percentage of 43.1. The Ole Miss rushing defense hasn't been strong, ranking 123rd in EPA/rush and 120th in rushing success rate. It is vital that LSU finds a way to run the ball effectively and consistently.

Look for Blake Baker to have a rock solid game plan ready for the Ole Miss offense. He's made all four of LSU's opponents look silly, and while Ole Miss will likely be better than Clemson and Florida, Baker and his revamped defense should be able to stymie the Ole Miss offense just enough. It could very well come down to the final possession, but LSU prevails.

Score prediction: LSU wins 30-28
