LSU Wide Receiver CJ Daniels is out for the game and sporting a walking boot
The LSU Tigers got some positive news before the game as wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr returned to make his season debut while CJ Daniels was able to play after being a game time decision. The pair have returned giving Garrett Nussmeier all of his weapons but, his return was shortlived.
CJ Daniels has been ruled out for the game and is sporting a walking boot on the LSU Sideline.
This game, Daniels was able to catch two passes for 17 yards but, he'll miss the rest of the game.
Daniels being in a walking boot is less than ideal as he was testing out an Ankle injury prior to the game so his ankle injury was likely reaggravated. The Tigers have a bye week next weekend followed by a matchup with Alabama where you'd hope the team was fully healthy.
The rest of this game, LSU's lead receivers Kyren Lacy and Aaron Anderson will need to step up as the go-to guys for Garrett Nussmeier. Chris Hilton Jr has looked rusty in his return mistiming a few jumps but, we'll need to see if he can make a big play for the offense.
After Garrett Nussmeier's interception the Tigers are clinging to a three point lead as the offense hasn't been able to get much going in the second half.
