This Weekend, several of the top Juniors and Seniors took the field together for the Navy All American Bowl on NBC. As the Under Armour All American Game has risen in stature, we've started to see players on this stage that likely wouldn't have in the past as players split between the two games. One of those players is LSU Wide Receiver commitment Jakai Anderson who participated in this week's combine and was one of the top performers.
This Summer, Anderson committed to LSU as one of the first players to join the 2026 recruiting class as a three-star recruit. After his Junior season, Anderson's stock continues to rise with On3, ESPN, and Rivals ranking him as a four-star recruit. Based on his showing at the All American Combine, he'll likely see his stock continue to rise.
For his performance during the week, Anderson was named the 6th best performer of the week by Rivals' Sam Spiegelman, also of note is that LSU target Darryus McKinley was ranked 9th, Darryus is the brother of LSU Defensive Tackle Dominick McKinley.
When you watch Jakai Anderson play one aspect of his game that stands out is his route running and it flashed again at this weeks combine.
While he's a great route runner, Anderson has shown countless times that he has the ability to go up and win on 50/50 balls.
Anderson will be a massive piece in the 2026 recruiting class for the LSU Football team and it would be great to keep him locked in with this class. The Tigers have traditionally had the most success with In-State receivers leading the team and keeping two on board in Jakai Anderson and Kenny Darby after signing two last recruiting cycle gives LSU another two potential breakout stars at the position.
