The NFL Draft season is about to heat up with the official end of the College Football season has officially come to a close. As the NFL season draws to an end, the scouting activity will ramp up as NFL Draft prospects will head to Showcase Bowls and eventually the NFL Combine as they look to improve their NFL Draft Stock.
The biggest showcase Bowl is the Reese's Senior Bowl which showcases the best Seniors in College Football as well as some underclassmen to build out the rosters. The Senior Bowl is such a great resource for NFL Draft prospects as every team sends their scouting departments, General Managers, and Head Coaches to Mobile, Alabama meaning if you have a great week NFL scouts will take notice.
LSU was slated to have six players participating in the Senior Bowl as Garrett Dellinger, Miles Frazier, Mason Taylor, Sai'Vion Jones, Emery Jones Jr, and Kyren Lacy had accepted invitations to the Senior Bowl.
The Tigers will send just five players to the Senior Bowl now barring any last minute roster updates as Kyren Lacy will not attend the Week of festivities as reported by AL.com this week.
Lacy not participating anymore doesn't come as a shock given his current legal situation as Lacy was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run with death and reckless operation of a vehicle stemming from a December 17 wreck outside of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
In all likelihood, NFL Teams won't Draft Kyren Lacy until there is an answer on his legal situation as we saw when La'el Collins fell completely out of the NFL Draft as a projected First Round pick because he was slated to speak with the police over a murder investigation where he wasn't a Person of Interest or a Suspect which makes Lacy's status cloudy.
