The Transfer Portal is officially open and it is a mad dash for programs around the Country as they look to set up recruiting visits with their top targets in the Class. LSU has a few needs, we've seen the Tigers tied to a ton of wide receivers, edge rushers, and a few defensive backs.

The Tight End position is a tough position to recruit out of the transfer portal because the best ones rarely come available. The LSU Football team is losing one of those elite tight ends as Mason Taylor will be passing up his Senior Season to enter the NFL Draft.

LSU still has two massive talents in Trey'Dez Green and Ka'Morreun Pimpton in the tight end room but, both are bigger receiving threats rather than players who excels as an in-line tight end at this stage in their careers.

The Tigers will have a chance to replace that tight end that can do it all as LSU will get tight end Luke Hasz on Campus for a visit this week.

As a Freshman, Hasz caught 16 passes for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns and was off to an incredible start to his career before suffering a season ending injury. in 2024, Hasz built on his first season catching 26 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns. LSU has gotten a close look at Hasz over the past two seasons which explains why they jumped so quickly to get him to campus.

The Tigers will be competing against Ole Miss and Alabama who will also get visits from Hasz but, Oklahoma not getting an official visit is good news for all involved.

If LSU could land Luke Hasz it would be a massive pickup and the type of player LSU desperatley needs heading into next year. It's hard to replace a Mason Taylor because he can do so many things but, Hasz is very similar as a player. In LSU's Offense, Hasz should post career best receiving numbers while also helping pave the way for LSU's speedy running back room.
