We're just days away from the Early portion of National Signing Day and it seems like every hour we're seeing top recruits flip their commitments. This final month for LSU has been hectic with Bryce Underwood flipping to Michigan, Devin Harper flipping to Ole Miss, and Jesse Harrold decommitting ahead of his visit to Florida State.
As of late, it seemed that the recruit most likely to flip from LSU is four-star wide receiver. It was a bit of a surprise when LSU won out initially, and as of late Meadows was predicted to flip to Notre Dame, when Bryce Underwood flipped to Michigan he was predicted there, and now the latest prediction is for Meadows to land at Alabama.
The LSU Football team can control their momentum in this recruitment as they get the final visit with Derek Meadows as he's in Baton Rouge for Today's game against Oklahoma. This marks his first visit to Baton Rouge since this offseason when he committed and it comes at the perfect time for LSU.
The Tigers staff can make their pitch on NIL, Playing Time, and plans for development and it could be enough for LSU to keep him in the fold. While everyone has predicted he'd land elsewhere after his visits, Meadows has stayed committed to LSU meaning the Tigers still have an edge.
Meadows is the 104th ranked recruit in the class, the 15th wide receiver, and the 2nd ranked receiver out of Nevada where he plays for Bishop Gorman. At 6 foot 6 and 205 pounds, Meadows is a massive target possessing the speed to beat opposing defenses deep.
