The Women's College Basketball transfer portal has been in full swing and while it hasn't been as chaotic as the Men's transfer portal, it has still seen a ton of movement. After falling in the Elite Eight, the LSU Women's Basketball team needed to revamp the roster to make a push for a return to the Final Four. Kim Mulkey will get Flau'Jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams back but, after that Mulkey has a ton of work to do.
This offseason the LSU Women's Basketball team has seen a flurry of transfers and the latest comes as forward Jersey Wolfenbarger enters the transfer portal.
Jersey Wolfenbarger transferred into LSU this offseason after spending her first two seasons with the In-State Arkansas Razorbacks. This season, Jersey Wolfenbarger averaged 4.6 Points Per Game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and 0.2 assists per game while shooting 63% from the field.
Next season, the Lady Tigers will have an entirely new front court which is less than ideal to say the least. Aneesah Morrow is off to the WNBA Draft, Amani Bartlett graduated, while Jersey Wolfenbarger, Sa'Myah Smith, and Aalyah Del Rosario all entered the transfer portal.
Kim Mulkey has already started to rebuild the Tigers front court but, she's going to need an active finish to the transfer portal cycle to get this roster to where it needs to be. LSU already landed former Top-5 recruit Katie Koval from Notre Dame to play Center after her freshman year. The rest of the transfer portal moves are currently flying under the radar but, with Kim Mulkey's track record using the transfer portal you can't rule anything out.
As it pertains to the pieces currently on LSU's roster, the Lady Tigers for the most part should be done losing players to the transfer portal barring any shocking departures.
