The LSU Tigers wide receivers entered Sunday chasing a massive milestone as a collective as they needed 178 yards to beat the record set by the Miami Hurricanes for the most receiving yards in a single season by a college. Malik Nabers entered Sunday questionable with an injury but, was able to play needing just 31 yards to break 1,000 yards on the season and 3 catches to break 100 catches.
On Malik Nabers first catch of the day he checked off a career milestone taking a screen pass 31 yards to score his 5th touchdown of the year.
Later in the game, Malik Nabers made a spectacular catch giving him his 100th catch of the season in impressive fashion.
The first season in the NFL has been nothing short of incredible for Malik Nabers as he's lived up to and exceeded the expectations placed on him when he was selected by the Giants 6th overall. This season, Malik Nabers has caught passes from Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, Drew Lock, and Tim Boyle yet, he hasn't missed a beat.
The great wide receivers are able to make an impact regardless of who their quarterback is helping the offense in times of struggle. This season, Malik Nabers has proven he's quarterback proof crossing the 100 catch landmark and the 1,000 yard landmark while missing two games with injuries and while dealing with some of the worst quarterback play in the league.
It'll be exciting to see what Malik Nabers is able to do once the Giants find their answer at quarterback but, he's proving to be one of the best receivers in the league.
