When Malik Nabers was taken 6th overall by the New York Giants there was one player Nabers was compared to more than anyone in Odell Beckham Jr. Part of it was wishful thinking by the Giants as Beckham came in and took over the league while in New York making highlight reel play after highlight reel play.
Malik Nabers hasn't been as fortunate as Odell Beckham was as Beckham caught passes from Eli Manning while Nabers has had Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, Drew Lock, and Tim Boyle. Even while Nabers has had some of the worst quarterback play in the League, he's been a shining star for the Giants which is exciting for the fans as they think of what he may be with a good quarterback.
This season, Nabers has been incredible while clearly playing with a few injuries and with some awful quarterback play. The next record Nabers can try to break is the single season receptions record which is 107 set by Steve Smith in 2009.
Nabers entered Sunday with 901 receiving yards and has added 12 yards today as he attempts to hit that landmark 1,000 yard receiving season. Odell Beckham's rookie season was other worldly as he missed most of camp and four games with a hamstring injury but, Nabers has been incredibly impressive given his set of circumstances.
