The New York Jets had ties to the Taylor family as Jason Taylor spent the 2010 season with the Jets after a storied career with the Miami Dolphins.
In Mason Taylor, Justin Fields is getting the perfect safety blanket as Mason Taylor will only make his life easier. At LSU, Mason Taylor was the safety blanket for Jayden Daniels and Garrett Nussmeier becoming the most productive tight end in LSU history.
Mason Taylor will come in and be an instant starter for the New York Jets with great ability as an in-line tight end. Taylor has developed a ton as a blocker which will help open holes for Breece Hall as well as Justin Fields on designed runs.
As a receiver, Mason Taylor showed he can run the entire route tree while at LSU which will help the Jets. Taylor is great on underneath routes and has a ton of ability to make massive plays after the catch which may encourage Justin Fields to make the right play checking the football down.
