On Wednesday Night, the LSU Basketball team dropped its 7th straight game losing to Arkansas falling to 12-12 on the season and 1-10 in SEC Play. The Tigers were able to take a lead into halftime for the second time in SEC Play and in back to back games the lead quickly evaporated as LSU couldn't slow the Razorbacks offense.

If you're looking for big picture takeaways, Robert Miller III and Vyctorius Miller look like great building blocks for the future. When LSU couldn't get anything going offensively the Tigers were leaning on the Freshman duo to carry the offense and for the majority of the second half they were able to keep LSU in the game.

"Yeah, I was really impressed with Rob. And that was going up against Big Z [Zvonimi Ivisic] and Aidoo [Jonas Aidoo], two of the best post defenders in our league. I think he showed the ability to score. I thought he was really good there. And Vyctorious was able to come in and give us a lift. That was the best he’s scored the ball since we got to SEC play."

The reason for the loss was nothing other than the fact that LSU couldn't find the bottom of the basket against Arkansas. After the game, Matt McMahon talked about how LSU's shooting struggles sunk the Tigers and the quick turnaround before LSU faces Oklahoma on Saturday.

"You know, we got the shots. We got 10 more attempts than they did. Obviously, they got to the free throw line, but they were just so more efficient than us in the second half, shooting 60% from the floor. We were only able to get to 35% and that ended up being the difference in the game. You mentioned a quick turnaround, we’ll get back tonight, get back to the floor tomorrow, and get ready for Oklahoma on Saturday."

The Tigers now head to Norman to face off against the Oklahoma Sooners who like LSU are struggling in SEC Play thus far. The next two games against Oklahoma and South Carolina are LSU's best chances to pick up a second win in SEC Play and the Tigers need to take advantage of that opportunity. Following Oklahoma and South Carolina, the Tigers face five Top 25 opponents to end the year which would be a difficult stretch for most teams let alone the Tigers who continue to struggle.
