Saturday marked the end of the regular season in the SEC and Senior Day for LSU's Seniors. The Tigers despite plenty of chances were yet to beat a ranked opponent but, Saturday gave LSU the chance to snap that streak against 22nd ranked Texas A&M as LSU looked to build any momentum ahead of the SEC Tournament.

Early on it looked like Texas A&M would run away with this game, opening up an early 10 point lead over LSU. The LSU Tigers then locked in defensively, and the offense led by Jordan Sears started to catch fire, going on a 17-0 run to make it a game. Texas A&M would chip away at LSU's lead giving the Tigers just a two point lead at the half.

The second half was marred with issues for the Tigers as LSU had to be careful with is big men as they all got in foul trouble in the first half. The Tigers playing a smaller lineup allowed a Texas A&M team that dominates on the interior to take as big as a 16 point lead. The defensive struggles were helped by the fact that LSU missed 13 straight shots going 11 minutes without making a shot.

By the time LSU's offense was able to get going in the second half it was too late as Texas A&M was content with slowing down the game and attacking LSU inside where the Tigers were out manned.

Jordan Sears had one of his best games in SEC Play for the Tigers as he scored 21 points on 6-13 shooting going 6-7 from the free throw line. Cam Carter had one of his worst games for the Tigers, scoring just 7 points on 2-12 shooting from the field. The Tigers as a whole couldn't find any rhythm on offense shooting just 30% from the field and 26.9% from 3 point range.

The Tigers struggles have been the same all season, the group can't shoot the three and they're going to lose any battle on the interior with the level of injuries they've suffered. The Aggies were able to outrebound LSU by 15 grabbing a whopping 14 offensive rebounds which gave them every chance to build a lead. In every game LSU comes out strong in the first half and then everything changes at halftime which was true once again as LSU scored just 20 points in the second half.

LSU now heads to the SEC Tournament where they'll face off against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
