The highly anticipated matchup between LSU and Ole Miss has never felt closer as the start of ESPN's College GameDay is the first look into the environment in Oxford. The Ole Miss fans have been bottling up their emotions ever since Lane Kiffin made the decision to leave the Rebels for LSU, making for a potential powder keg on Saturday Night.
ESPN made the decision before the season even began to bring the show to Oxford in what should be an incredible day. At the crack of dawn, Ole Miss fans packed the College GameDay set and made sure everyone could hear their feelings about their former head coach.
Ole Miss' Lane Kiffin chants on College GameDay were incredibly weak
When College GameDay began, Ole Miss fans instantly started their day off with a "F*** Lane Kiffin" chant.

For all the hate Ole Miss fans have claimed to be bottling up for this game, the chant is incredibly weak. If that's all the Ole Miss fans have in store for Saturday, this environment is going to be all it's been built up to be.
The fans only had 30 seconds' worth of chants for their former head coach before it quickly died out with the entire country watching. Instead of continuing to come at their former head coach, Ole Miss fans took the bait and turned to a Hotty Toddy chant.
All offseason, Ole Miss fans have even declared that they're going to make it a tough environment for the College GameDay crew after the way they talked about Kiffin taking the LSU job, and after Lane said that Nick Saban helped him make the decision to leave.

Now Ole Miss fans will be the first ones to say that you can't trust Lane Kiffin, but instantly after booing Nick Saban, they believed him when he washed his hands of the blame on GameDay.
"Why can’t you win at where you are now? You have a great quarterback. You have a great running back. You’re in the playoffs. You have a chance to win the national championship. So why do you have to go someplace else?’ So, but everybody makes their own decision. Ole Miss is going to need a lot more than their chants if they're going to get the magical win the entire fanbase is hoping for. The Tigers' defense has been dominant to start the season, giving LSU the perfect marriage between an electric offense and a shutdown defense. Pete Golding's team showed some flaws against Louisville in their lone test of the season, and there isn't a better offensive coach to exploit those weaknesses.
Lane Kiffin has had all offseason to read the press clippings, and he's gotten this team prepared to go on the road and be the villains. Whenever the hate is all pointed at Lane Kiffin, he typically thrives, and on Saturday Night he's going to feed off that energy, and do whatever it takes to quiet the crowd and leave victorius.
The showdown between No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Ole Miss kicks off at 6:30 PM CT or 7:30 PM ET live on ABC. College GameDay is live until 11:00 AM CT on ESPN.
