It was College Football's Black Sunday this weekend as the Coaching Carousel has started with a few firings across the country. East Carolina was the first school to fire their Head Coach followed by Oklahoma firing their offensive coordinator, Southern Mississippi firing their Head Coach, and Utah's offensive coordinator resigning.

For LSU, you aren't in the market for any coaches unless you lose a Coordinator to a Head Coaching gig or to another Coordinator job like when Mike Dembrock left for Notre Dame. LSU shouldn't be in the market for any positional coaches either unless one of the Coaches gets a job elsewhere as a Coordinator.

If LSU is in trouble when it comes to losing any Coach it is most likely Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach Joe Sloan. At just 37 years old, Sloan has an impressive track record rising the ranks to LSU's offensive coordinator. Sloan will be an attractive target for most schools due to his success at LSU in developing quarterbacks such as Jayden Daniels and Garrett Nussmeier as well as recruiting where he landed the Nation's top quarterback Bryce Underwood.

While some of the bigger schools could be a major threat to LSU in losing Joe Sloan one of the latest openings could be LSU's biggest threat.

Joe Sloan played quarterback at East Carolina from 2005 to 2008 where he completed his only passing attempt for five yards. After College, Sloan got his Coaching Career started as an administrative assistant for East Carolina.

Given that the Pirates may have a better chance at landing a coach with Sloan's pedigree since he's an alumni, the Pirates may come calling for Joe Sloan.

It's impossible to predict whether or not a coach will take a new job as it ultimately comes down to conversations we never get to hear. On one hand, you have to take the promotion while you can as there's never a guarantee that another offer will come around. On the other hand, if Sloan continues his success like he's having this year there's no doubt that Power Four schools will come calling and they could continue to call if he sticks around.
