The 2024 College Football season has come to a close and everyone now turns their attention to the 2025 College Football season. The conversation in the SEC has been about if the conference will end its draught after missing the National Championship Game for back to back seasons. Some of the other conversations have been around which coaches may be on the Hot Seat in 2025.

On his ESPN Radio Show "The Paul Finebaum Show" the SEC host was asked to name which SEC Head Coaches were going to be on the Hot Seat in 2025.

"You know I’m not going to sit here and impune the good name of an SEC coach who might be in trouble,” Finebaum said in a joking manner. “I am not going to tell you that Hugh Freeze better win next year. I’m not going to tell you that Mark Stoops better win next year, Brent Venables or Brian Kelly."

It's always good to be left out of the Hot Seat list but, with that said there is clearly some Coaches missing from the list. Billy Napier is just 19-19 in three seasons at Florida with a 10-14 record in SEC play, if he has another bad year he easily can be fired. Sam Pittman didn't make the list either as he's 30-31 through five seasons at Arkansas, it's hard to say he's safe if this year doesn't go well.

For Brian Kelly its obviously never good to be in the conversation of being on the hot seat even if he isn't actually on the hot seat. There's no doubt that Brian Kelly needs to start posting better results but, he's likely still one more bad season away from being on the hot seat.

Between the four Coaches that Paul Finebaum named as being on the Hot Seat, Brent Venables is likely in the most trouble. Venables has posted two seasons below .500 and has a 12-14 record in Conference Play. The move to the SEC will only raise the expectations at Oklahoma and if he can't turn the ship around this season the Sooners may move on.
