The LSU Tigers losing on Saturday Night isn't what has drawn all the outrage it's how the Tigers loss that has fans and media members angry and questioning the program's direction. Losing 42-13 is unacceptable for this program especially on a night where LSU could've put itself firmly in the College Football Playoff conversation.

After the game fans and media members took to social media and their respective platforms to give their takes on the program with some being more rash than others. Among those media members was Paul Finebaum who has been friendly with LSU hosting Brian Kelly on his show every week.

Paul Finebaum was asked on Sportscenter about if he was burying LSU's playoff chances after their brutal defeat to which he said the following:

"Dearly beloved let us say goodbye to LSU for this season. Their relevancy is over. Truly one of the more embarrassing performances I've seen from a major contender in a long time. They had everything, how many times did we hear Brian Kelly hasn't lost at night in Tiger Stadium. Well that happened, they were only down 42-6 I'm sure they had a chance to comeback and they did with 11 seconds to go to make the score not even respectable."

Nothing was held back despite appearances on the show

Every Monday, Paul Finebaum has Brian Kelly on his show so its certainly a bit surprising that Finebaum ripped LSU the way that it did. Finebaum is known to overreact but, he echoed a ton of points that the fanbase and even Brian Kelly will agree with. The task at hand now is staying focused on the rest of the season as its easy for players to start looking elsewhere as the season can no longer result in a National Championship.
