Post Spring Top 25 Ranking has the LSU Football team among the Nation's best

The Spring transfer portal has significantly slowed as the vast majority of the top players available have committed and signed with their next programs. As spring practices have concluded with the transfer portal dying down the vast majority of the rosters around the sport are set allowing fans and media members to start speculating about the 2025 College Football season.

The LSU Tigers are expecting to have a massive season next season thanks to returning a loaded group of talent while adding a Top 10 recruiting class and one of the Nation's top transfer portal classes. As analysts release their Top 25 rankings for the upcoming season, all LSU fans are keeping an eye out to see what the National expectations are for this team.

On3's Ari Wasserman predicts massive season for the LSU Football team

After his co-host Andy Staples released his Top 25 last week, On3's Ari Wasserman released his Post Spring Top 25 this week projecting a big season for LSU with the Tigers ranked 5th.

As LSU is ranked 5th, the Tigers are the second ranked team in the SEC behind Texas indicating that the Tigers would face off against Texas in the SEC Championship Game. An interesting aspect is the fact that Clemson is ranked 3rd as the LSU Football team opens its season on the road against Clemson.

LSU's path to the College Football Playoff will be difficult when looking at where LSU's 2025 opponents are ranked. The Tigers will face off against the Nation's 3rd ranked team Clemson, 8th ranked Alabama, 11th ranked Florida, 14th ranked South Carolina, 17th ranked Oklahoma, 19th ranked Ole Miss, and 25th ranked Texas A&M.

The expanded College Football Playoff gives team wiggle room with the ability to now take a loss or two and still make the Playoffs. Nonetheless, LSU will need to do against one of the toughest schedules in the Country if they're going to return to competing for the National Championship.
