The South Eastern Conference will grow by two teams next season as the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners join the conference. In this hypothetical world, what if LSU was able to remove one team from the SEC? Would the Tigers go back to 2003 to go undefeated? Would they go back and earn the right to play for the National Championship in a few season? Would they remove a team just to rid themselves of the fanbase? Here are the top five candidates for LSU to remove in this world:

5. Texas Longhorns

Despite Texas just joining the SEC, it would be hilarious if they were sent back out and much better on the field for SEC teams. The Longhorns and Tigers have only faced off twice since 1963 with the last matchup coming when Joe Burrow broke out as a Heisman front runner hanging 45 points on the Longhorns.

The issues with Texas joining the SEC are two fold for the pre-existing members with recruiting and on the field. Recruiting wise, the Longhorns have the Nation's top NIL programs as they showed at their latest weekend hosting recruits.

On the field, Steve Sarkisian looks like he's finally getting the program back towards the level they were at with Mack Brown. The Longhorns enter the SEC as one of the favorites to win the conference and the National Championship in 2024.
